A BEACON OF LIGHT IN SYDNEY

We are excited to have partnered with Investa Property Group to revitalise the lobby of a prominent Sydney tower, first designed by Davenport Campbell over 40 years ago.

The transformed lobby at 1 Market honours the character of the building façade and its timeless marble interior. The unique arrival experience brings new warmth and activity with a new concierge offering, intuitive wayfinding, increased circulation, leafy areas for sitting, and a new café. The activation of the ground plane repositions this corporate landmark as a gathering place for commerce, community and wellbeing.

Our interior design, architecture and graphics teams worked together to develop a unifying language to connect and enhance the existing architectural elements. Blending existing carrara marble with soft tones of travertine, warm timbers and trailing planting, the new lobby features an intricate ceiling of timber light boxes that gives new purpose to the triple height arrival experience.

The grand scale of the lobby is more striking than ever against the Sydney night sky. Large slabs of travertine soar towards the glowing timber feature ceiling, whilst the large digital screen and glowing light boxes are hard to miss.

1 Market Street has been transformed in to a lively and inviting commercial tower for Investa’s tenants and visitors, with positive feedback from tenants serving as a testimony to the project vision coming to life.
