Behind the Scenes at 1 Market St, Sydney.
We are thankful to have partnered with Investa to revitalise the lobby of this prominent Sydney tower with over 40 years of history at Davenport Campbell.
Having re-opened in August, we wanted to share some behind the scenes photos that celebrate the great work of the project team in working with the history and scale of the building.
Blending existing carrara marble with soft tones of travertine, warm timbers and trailing planting, the new lobby features an intricate ceiling of timber light boxes that bring warmth and openness to the arrival experience.
The grand scale of the new lobby at 1 Market is more striking than ever against the Sydney night sky. Large slabs of travertine soar towards the glowing timber feature ceiling, lifted and secured in place by specialist machinery.
