SEVEN SUMMITS CELEBRATION
Last Thursday evening Davenport Campbell celebrated Neill’s climb of the seven summits and the launch of a new charity, Climb for Education. The event took place at O Bar where we enjoyed an evening above the city celebrating two incredible achievements.
In recognition of the support Neill received from the local Nepalese community during the earthquakes of 2015, we are proud to be working with the Australian Himalayan Foundation (AHF) to help get Nepalese children back to school. It was great pleasure to have Australian Himalayan Foundation General Manager, Carolyn Hamer-Smith, present to introduce and help launch the new charity. All funds raised are going towards books and equipment supplies to all the schools effected by the devastating earthquakes in the Everest region.
As a team we are really excited about this new initiative which will help to rebuild schools in Nepal and get kids back to the classrooms. We can make a big impact for a small cost: A $50 donation provides books and essential school supplies A $200 donation sends a child to school for a year. Our goal is to provide all the support required for an entire school.
The evening was a great success and we would like thank everyone who could be there to celebrate Neill’s achievements.
