GARMA, NEPAL: SCHOOL HALL UPDATE

The construction of the new school hall in Garma, Nepal is well and truly underway and progressing every day with the help of local community, engineering partner TTW and the local NGO REED. Since our last update, new earthworks have been finished – including the digging of the foundations and formwork for the new concrete piers that will earthquake-proof the structure.

This week’s update is even more special as one of our Sydney Studio designers, Olivia McIver is on site. In the last few weeks Olivia has spent time with the local students and teachers and immersed herself in Nepalese culture.

This crucial project will add a watertight and earthquake-proof facility for the students and local community to enjoy. To support this initiative please click here.
