SXSW Sydney
15th -22nd October
SXSW Sydney brings together inspired thinkers, creators and innovators from across the world for a series of conferences, festivals, an expo and parties. Running from 15-22 October 2023, SXSW Sydney is a week-long event where the tech and innovation, games, music and screen industries converge with culture for unexpected discoveries.

Sculpture by the Sea
20th October - 6th November

Sculpture by the Sea returns to the Bondi to Tamarama Beach coastal walk as the world’s largest free to the public sculpture exhibition in 2023. The spectacular coastal walk will once again be transformed into a 2km long sculpture park over three weeks featuring more than 100 sculptures by artists from Australia and across the world.

The Other Art Fair 
12th - 15th October

Where elitism is the norm, The Other Art Fair dared to deviate. Art isn’t confined to convention or rule, and how you enjoy it shouldn’t be either. Forget the typical, white-walled experience. You won’t find VIP ropes outside our door. Since 2011, The Other Art Fair has worked with over 3,000 artists from more than 20 countries, with fairs based in the UK, US and Australia. Unlike “other” fairs, The Other Art Fair creates an accessible and open fair designed for visitors to enjoy an interactive and immersive experience.

Pinot Palooza 
2oth - 22nd October

Get up close and personal with the world’s sexiest grape variety at this year’s Pinot Palooza festival, an event dedicated to – you guessed it – pinot noir. After an 18-month hiatus, the annual festival’s back to its original springtime calendar slot with an exciting line-up of pinot producers from Australia, New Zealand and beyond. This time round, there’ll be multiple sessions staggered across the weekend to cater for the overwhelming demand (we Melbournians sure adore our pinot) – with rivers of vino, music, chats and snacks galore. Talk about a juicy vibe!

BBC Earth Experience
From October 2023

Travel the natural world and journey across the seven continents in one epic experience narrated by David Attenborough. This immersive exhibition brings together state of the art audio visual technology and breathtaking footage from BBC Studios Seven Worlds, One Planet on an unrivaled scale. From fireflies putting on a spectacular light show in North America, to snub nosed monkeys huddling together to stay warm in Asia, and cassowary fathers protecting their tiny chicks in Australia, visitors will get to experience our seven continents in all their glory, like never before.

Windows to the World
21st- 22nd October

It’s time to start touring the world once again. This time, without the long-haul flights! Windows to the World provides the rare opportunity to see behind the gates of the capital’s embassies and high commissions. See, taste and experience cultures from across the globe, whilst enjoying the beautiful gardens and intricate architecture of some of Canberra’s most iconic buildings.

Japanese Film Festival
