Sydney Cherry Blossom Festival
August 19th - 27th
Wander through fluffy cherry blossoms, eat Japanese street food and play Harajuku-style mini golf

This fragrant festival is all about celebrating Japanese traditions, music, pop culture and food, with visitors able to wander through fields of fluffy pink sakura blossoms in a traditional Japanese garden.

The program is brimming with activities; food; live music, dance and taiko drumming performances; plus workshops.

Junipalooza
August 26th - 27th

Fifty local and international craft distillers will be pouring over 100 different types of gin across two days.

The Sydney event will feature sampling stations from some of the world’s best distillers. Fifty distillers from around the globe will be sharing their gins, with over 100 different types set to feature.

FIFA Fan Festival
Until August 20th

Celebrate your love of football, The Matildas, live music and more at a free festival in the heart of Darling Harbour.

Watch each match live on the giant screens and show off your own footy skills with your mates at the FIFA Fan Festival™ playground. There is a penalty practice, football minigolf, football snooker and even a shooting speedometer so you can find out who has the most powerful shot. Want to really put your skills to the test? Challenge your mates and other footy fans to a full-fledged match game on the festival’s pop-up pitch.

Rutherglen in the City
August 26th

Rutherglen in the City will bring 15 of the region’s wineries to Canberra for a one-day-only tasting event featuring all kinds of varieties like Muscat, Durif, Alvarinho, Fiano, Grenache, Sangiovese and Tempranillo. You’ll also get a tasting glass to take home and there will be plenty of live music, food and wine to purchase.

Hot Chocolate Festival
Until August 31st

The Mornington Peninsula, Great Ocean Road and Yarra Valley Chocolateries are famous for their month-long festival dedicated to hot chocolate in all its irresistible forms, and this year’s no different. A total of 31 limited-edition hot chocolate flavours will be available to try throughout August, including a salted caramel Espresso Martini flavour, hot chocs with exploding chocolate balls, iced cronuts and dunking pastries, and wait for it... a bubblegum-pink dedication to Barbie (OMG).

Melbourne International Film Festival
Until August 20th
One of the oldest film festivals in the world (along with Cannes and Berlin) MIFF is an annual festival held over three weeks throughout Melbourne. Founded in 1952, the festival presents a curated global program of screen experiences and the world’s largest showcase of Australian filmmaking.
