BUILDING RESILIENCE WHERE IT’S NEEDED
Over the past 8 months we have supported the Australian Himalayan Foundation and the Rural Education and Environment Development Centre to design and develop new classrooms for one of the most remote secondary schools in Durga Mahalinga, West Nepal.
With minimal flat ground in the region, the excavation works are proving to be significant. Meanwhile, locally pressed bricks are helping to avoid the time consuming and expensive process of transporting building materials from Kathmandu.
This work has been facilitated by the generous contributions of the Elevate and Educate Donor Circle. This group of likeminded and caring businesses from the property industry have come together to make a difference and support the children of this community to gain access to more inclusive, higher quality education.
