2018 GOOD DESIGN GALA

Last night the 60th Good Design Gala was held at the Sydney Opera House. Good Design recognises the best examples from around the world of how design can positively effect the lives of people.

Davenport Campbell together with engineers Taylor Thomson Whitting (TTW), architects, Ken McBryde (SAS), David Francis and the Australian Himalayan Foundation (AHF) celebrated winning 3 awards for the school rebuilding work we have been undertaking in the Upper Solu Khumbu region of Nepal, an area badly affected by the ANZAC Day earthquake in 2015.

“Working with the school teachers, principal and local parents has been an inspiring process. Whilst we have been teaching the school about some of the latest ideas in education design, we have learnt far more from them about resilience and the value of community.” Davenport Campbell architects Neill Johanson & Tom Singleton.
